Grant of clemency-- Political manoeuvres?

One issue thats been rockin d whole country 4 d past 1 month isthe debate whether AFZAL GURU shud be given clemency or not..
I personally feel that such people should not escape capital punishment.Granting clemency because a group is threatening to break into violence if he s hanged amounts to sumbitting ourselves to unadulterated blackmail,doesn`t it?Attacking the heart of republic India is too big a crime against d nation tobe granted pardon.If not 4 d jawans who sacrificed their lives 4 protectingthe parliament,the terrorists wud have made a mockery of d Indian claim of being one of d superpowers in d modern world.
And after masterminding suchan heinous crime,the family of dis guy wants him 2 be pardoned becoz his childwants 2 bcome a doc.To top it all,a group supports their claim and even J&KCM issues a public statement in his favour.This happens in no other country,except India--- mera bharat mahaan..
If dis incident had happened in any other country , the family members wud not have dared to venture out to raise a voicein his favour leave alone petitioning d prez.And d so called secularists say that he shud not be hanged.Such pseudo-secularists incl(Cong.&Left parties) have blatantly shown their interests in attracting vote banks rather than viewing such incidents with seriousness.The left have a dubious record in encouraging such anti-India activiies.Even during d Indo-Chinese war in 1962, they openly favoured the chinese cause.And WE-AS THE "responsible" citizens of India have been voting for them and even making them rule unchanged in some places for 20-30 yrs.
Lets take d case of Indira gandhi.A similar incident occurred where again d left and some other parties demanded clemency 4 dat terrorist.And that militant organisation,had openly challenged d Govt. dat India did not dare to hang him else it wudface very dire consequences.As PM she ensured that he was not granted clemency and was hanged in public view.Such a tough stand is d need of d hour and it does not seem 2 b d casesince our parties seem more interested in maintaining poll alliances dan punishing ahard core criminal and protecting Indians.
If we grant clemency to AFZAL GURU today, who knows there will be a situationwhere we nab Osama for actually bombing our parliament and granting him public apology and who knows he may be an MP in d next election too..
Let d decision dis incident spark fear in minds of terrorists and who knows this spark may turn into a fire which burns dem down.
You r free 2 give ur comments on dis issue and please do.

capital punishment is serious issue..!
there are many facets to this.. if the capital punishment is rejected

--> the judge becomes a dummy.
--> no fear among terrorists.
--> all eyes on president.

our politicians are still debating on this particular case coz it was in the parliament . if the terrorist incident ha taken somewhere else, there would have been no proper investigation. some would argue that terrorists don fear death. so death penalty is waste. they say instant killing is not cruel enough. so he must suffer long time suffering.

for me capital punishment is based on each individual case and is not possible to comment generally.

in this case i prefer death penalty 4 the simple reason he killed our soldiers(if he had killed politicians instead, i would have appreciated him).
dear president,think of the family of the jawans and not the family of afzalguru.!
